From the very beginning, Reimers & Janssen has been committed to breaking new ground in medical technology. In 1985, we developed the LaserPen, the world's first portable spot laser for pain relief.

Spurred on by its success, we introduced the Physiolaser System in 1999—a completely new product line featuring a wide range of spot and area lasers, all operated from a single control unit with plug & play.

In 2017, Reimers & Janssen set another milestone in laser therapy with the LightStream Laser System: the first delegable system that supported the creation and evaluation of personalized treatment plans, making data-driven therapy improvements possible for the first time.

Our German-made lasers are now trusted by over 10,000 doctors and therapists worldwide. Personal service, innovation and quality have made us one of Europe's leading manufacturers in the industry.

At Reimers & Janssen, to ensure the highest possible quality, we continue to develop and manufacture our products in-house. Each laser is produced by hand and certified as a medical device in accordance with the latest European MDR standards.

Back in 1982, aspiring alternative health practitioner Werner Reimers and Dipl. Ing. engineer Mohan Janssen founded a partnership with the aim of developing new products to benefit people, beyond conventional medicine.

In 1986, Mohan Janssen moved with his young family to the tranquil Black Forest, while Werner Reimers remained in the vibrant city of Berlin. The two founders did not see the physical separation as a problem, but rather as an opportunity to reach new customers and continue leading their individual lives.

That remains consistent with their vision today of building a company culture free from constraints, one which allows every employee the personal freedom to develop new products from innovative ideas.
